Man...what are the chances of pulling pocket pairs 5 times in a row? A quick guess puts me at around 161,051 to 1 of doing that. In each case last night My pocket pairs were shot down by over cards. I couldn't bluff or put anyone off the pot. Man it was the worst night of pocket pairs. In my finale for the night I told the guy next to me I was going to go all in my next hand, he told me that he would in fact call with ATC (Any Two Cards). So I take a peek at my whole cards. Gee, another pocket pair...10's. The guy immediately calls. He shows As4c. I figure that I am probably sticking around. The flop comes out Blank, Blank, ACE......BOB SAGGOT!
I have found myself over the last three weeks getting super aggravated with playing cards. It almost seems like I am "card dead". That's what my inner voice is telling me. I have to keep reinforcing the fact that I am not "card dead", it's just the variance factor of playing poker. Things will turn around eventually.
I need to start controlling the emotions though, it's been costing me dearly. I could probably advance further with the small amount of chips I have left if I didn't get pissed and think to myself "screw it". Ahhhh.....

Fantasy Poker
While I like to get out and about and play in the free tournaments around town sometimes they just boil my blood. Take this hand from last night:
Blinds are $100/$200
Hero is UG with $7,600
Villain 1 is BB with $3,000
Villain 2 is Seat 4 with $5,800
Villain 3 is Seat 6 with $1,800
Hole cards for our hero are Ah Kh
Everyone posts the blinds to the Hero. Hero re-raises to make a call worth $800
Villain 1 Folds.
Villain 2 Calls.
Villain 3 Folds.
Pot: $2,700
The Flop:
Ad, 4h, Kc
Villain 2 Bets $200
Villain 3 Calls.
Hero Re-raises to $1,350 total.
Villain 2 Calls.
Villain 3 Folds.
Pot: $ 5,600
The Turn: 9c
Villain 2 Checks.
Hero Raises $3,750
Villain 2 immediately Calls.
Hero shows Ah, Kh
Villain Shows 3c, 10c
The River: 6c
Villain Wins $13,100 with a Flush King High.
Hero Loses with two pair, Aces and Kings.
Personal analysis:
I played my hand almost perfectly. Aggressive, I knew I had the nuts and the best hand walking into things until the River. What can I do better next time? I would say that most likely I would either double bet the pot or move all in after the flop against the same type of player next time. He was under the impression he was getting into it cheap, draws are never cheap. The good players over time will always win against people who like drawing hands
